Employment Rights Act 1996 s.13 + Sponsor Guidance Part 3 §C9 (hard rule from 31 Dec 2024) + Immigration Act 1971 s.3C + Modern Slavery Act 2015 ss.1-4, s.45
Your letter will demand repayment of unlawfully passed-on sponsor fees, payment of unpaid wages, an experience certificate, and the 60-day Skilled Worker curtailment grace period. A parallel UKVI exploitation report and Acas Early Conciliation notice will be flagged.
Northern Ireland uses the Labour Relations Agency, not Acas. The 12-week SI 2025/1153 conciliation period does NOT apply in NI.
Use the date on your Certificate of Sponsorship or contract.
If you don't know the exact date, leave blank. The Home Office Sponsor Register (gov.uk) shows current licensed sponsors — if your sponsor is missing, the licence has been revoked or surrendered.
If you have not received a curtailment notice yet, you still have your original visa. Once UKVI writes, the 60-day clock starts from the date in their letter.
From 31 December 2024, Sponsor Guidance Part 3 §C9 makes it a HARD RULE that a sponsor cannot pass the CoS fee, the Immigration Skills Charge or the sponsor-licence application fee to the worker. Breach is grounds for licence revocation.
Add up everything you paid to the sponsor that wasn't wages.
