With ~90% union density, your union gives free help on wages, contracts and rights. The Directorate of Labour (Vinnumálastofnun) handles benefits and the Administration of Occupational Safety (Vinnueftirlitið) handles safety.

Act on Working Terms and Pension Rights (Lög nr. 55/1980)

Contact your union first — members get free advice and representation on unpaid wages and rights. Report unsafe work to Vinnueftirlitið (vinnueftirlit.is).
